DICKSON, Robert James "Jim" Dickson passed away suddenly at Rocky Mountain House Hospital on October 15, 2005 at the age of 79 years. Jim was born on December 13, 1925 to Sam and Alma Dickson at Alhambra, Alberta. Jim is survived by Bobbie, his wife of 56 years; and their children Sharyn (Wayne) Terpsma of Leslieville, Bruce (Judy) Dickson of Leslieville, Brenda (Dick) Feser of Red Deer, Kerrilee England of Sylvan Lake, Laurel Dean (Glen) Winchester of Leslieville, Susan (Barron) Reichert of Alhambra, and Brian (Teresa) Dickson of St. Albert; 23 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and one brother Ken Dickson (Rose) of Dryden, Ontario. Jim was predeceased by his parents, two brothers John and Gordon; his sister Donna Pollitt; his son David Dickson; granddaughter Janice Dickson; and great grandson Joel Terpsma. After being raised on the farm in Alhambra, Jim entered military service, operating in Camrose, Victoria, Chilliwack, and Suffield. After brief stints working in the lumber business and as a mechanic, Jim moved back to the farm in Alhambra where he married Bobbie Hall and raised a family of eight children. Jim remained on the family farm until his passing. A Service of Remebrance for the late Robert "Jim" Dickson will be held from the Rocky Funeral Home Chapel on October 20, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. A private family interment will be held at the Leslieville Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Jim's name to STARS Air Ambulance or to the Rocky Mountain House General Hospital Emergency Department.
