Robert HIND

HIND, Robert Mr. Robert Lyth (Bob) Hind of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Wednesday December 29th at the age of 83 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born February 25, 1921 at Philadelphia, County of Durham, England. He joined the RAF in 1942 and served in England, France and was later stationed in Penhold. In 1946 he married Isabel Large in Kinlochleven, Scotland. In 1954 Bob moved with his family to Red Deer where he and Isabel owned and operated R.L. Hind Agencies before moving to Victoria and later Hinton. They returned to Red Deer in 1980 when Bob retired. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Isabel, son Edward (Betty) Hind, grandchildren Jacqueline and Melinda and great-grandson Ryley Hind all of Jasper, daughter Barb (Lyle) Moger, grandchildren Tracey (Murray) Phillips, Chris Moger and great-grandchildren Megan and Colby Phillips all of Red Deer. Bob was predeceased by his father, Robert and mother Elizabeth. At Bob's request no funeral will be held. Interment took place Friday, December 31st at Alto-Reste Memorial Gardens.
