Pawloff, Robert "Rob" John

The family of Robert "Rob" John Pawloff sadly announce his passing on Monday, April 26th at the age of 49 years. He will be missed and forever remembered by his father Dick (Richard); a beloved sister Karen (Brent); two beautiful nieces Jordan and Paige; his aunts, uncles and cousins; his loyal friends and his supportive employer at First Choice Collision. He was predeceased by his loving mother Connie and grandparents Robert and Alice.

Raised in Red Deer's historic 56th Street Community, the river trails provided Rob with cycling and nature adventures. As a young child he was always curious about physical phenomena and natural wonders - a trait that defined his personality and interests into adulthood. Throughout his life he explored spectacular mountain/wilderness lake scenery - hiking, backcountry cross-counrty skiing and canoeing with his parents, sister Karen; puppy "Mishka" and family friends Doreen and Jim. Travelling as a family in their Westphalia van down the coast of Oregon; the isolated west coast of Vancouver Island or the wilderness lakes of Saskatchewan are cherished memories. More recently Rob kayaked much of the Red Deer River and ocean, kayaked with his father at Desolation Sound off the BC coast. A devoted radio fan, Rob favoured music from the 60's and 70's and shared perceptive insights into the culture of that era.

Rob will be fondly remembered as helpful and generous to a fault with family and friends - contributing humour and quick wit to conversations making folks laugh and be happy. His gentle and kind nature was most evident when he cared for his mother with compassion and sensitivity as her health progressively declined. His special life was filled with curiosity, compassion and courage.

In honour of his memory the family asks your consideration to extend an act of inclusive kindness - a gesture Rob would sincerely appreciate. A private Celebration of Rob's life will be held at a later time.
