ROBINSON, Robert James "Robby" Retired C.W.O. RCASC NIL SEINE LABORE Mr. Robert James "Robby" Robinson, beloved husband of Mrs. Muriel Robinson of Red Deer, entered into Eternal Rest following a brief illness at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at the age of 75 years. Robert was born on March 4, 1931 at Durban, Manitoba and raised in Swan River, Manitoba and Vancouver, British Columbia. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1951, retiring in 1975 after having enjoyed postings twice each at CFB Borden, Germany, Vancouver, British Columbia, Washington, D.C. and finally National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa. After coming to Alberta and civilian life, Robert worked as a Program Developer at the Keyano College in Fort McMurray, Alberta and later at Syncrude Canada Ltd., from where he retired in 1992 and moved to Red Deer. Robert leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Muriel (nee Barrowclough), son, Robert (June) of Lethbridge, Alberta and daughter, Lynne (Jim) Farrant of Lousana, Alberta, five grandchildren, Bradley (Julia) Watson of Edmonton, Alberta, Shaun (Kelly) Robinson of Swan Hills, Alberta, Kristin Robinson, also of Lethbridge, Aaron Robinson of St. Albert, Alberta and Erica Wawia of Kamloops, British Columbia and three great granddaughters, Jocelyn and Paige Robinson and Denae Watson. He will also be sadly missed by his siblings, Bernice Tyndall, George Robinson and Betty Griffiths (Wynn), all of the Vancouver Area, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, also of the Vancouver Area and his dear friends. Robert was predeceased by a son, Brian, his parents, Mary and Jim Robinson, sisters, Isabel, Phyliss, brother, Bill and Bill's wife, Dorothy (nee Yarema), brother-in-law, Jack Tyndall and sister-in-law, Reta (Morrison) Robinson. A Private Family Service will be held. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. Interment will take place at a later date at the Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton, Ontario, where Robert will be laid to rest beside his beloved son, Brian.
