SMITH, Robert Rees, 1948-2006 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Smith, dearest loving husband of Annette. Robert passed away surrounded by his family on April 5, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. Robert had a gift for making people feel comfortable and welcome, and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Robert is survived by his loving wife and partner of 35 years, Annette; his two sons, Rees (Shelley) and their children Cassidy and Dawson, Dusty (Shari) and their daughter Kielyn. A Celebration of Robert's life will be held at the Wimborne Community Centre on Monday, April 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Wimborne Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to STARS Air Ambulance or the DTHR Foundation, Cattle Round Up. As a tribute to Robert Smith, a tree will be planted in the Heartland Tree Memorial Park, Olds.
