ROBERTSON August 21, 1929-August 24, 2005 Peter Larvin Robertson passed away after a short and courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. Peter was born and raised in Clive and married Mary Lea on April 16, 1952. They had three daughters who grew up with a one-of-a-kind Dad. They lived in Paradise Valley, AB., Meeting Creek, AB., and in 1958 settled in Chetwynd, B.C.. In 1973 they purchased the Clive General Store and renewed old friendships. In 1978, Peter left the store and went to work for Peavey Mart in Stettler until his retirement in 1994. Retirement with his wife Mary was filled with bowling, golfing, and many cherished friends. Peter was a pillar of strength and provided stability for his family and will be remembered for his great sense of humor, compassion, honor and love for family and friends. Peter leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife and soul mate Mary of Lacombe, 3 daughters; Judy (Joe) Cronin, Trish Cardell-Robertson, and Cathy (Paul) Mehle, 5 grandchildren; Stephen and Shannon Cronin, Kori Cardell, Ryan and Mitchell Mehle and 1 great grandson Drayden Ricalton, 2 brothers, Syd (Edith) Robertson and family, George (Diane) Robertson and family, 1 brother-in-law, Dennis (Esme) Lea and family as well as other relatives and friends. Inurnment services will be held at the Clive Cemetery, Clive, Alberta on Monday August 29, 2005 at 12:00 noon. Funeral Services will follow at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe, on Monday, August 29, 2005 at 2:00 PM.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lacombe and Community Palliative Care Society, Box 5576, Lacombe, AB. T4L 1X2.
