Rodolfo LACHICA

LACHICA Rodolfo "Rudy" Lachica of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on January 3, 2007. Rudy was born in Estrell, San Mateo, Isabela, Philippines on September 23, 1941. He was the sixth of seven children. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Education at Central Institute of Technology in Manila, Philippines and taught for twenty-three years prior to moving to Canada. He enjoyed fishing and singing Karaoke. He loved his family being around and enjoyed watching his grandchildren. Rudy was a very loving and thoughtful husband, father and grandfather. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Veronica, two sons; Ruven (Lee) of Calgary and Rodel (Chit) and their children; JR, Chris and Nicole of the Philippines, two daughters; Tenette (Jong) and their children; Bryan and CK of Red Deer and Fritzie (Jojo) and their children; Chelsea and Camille also of Red Deer. He is also survived by three brothers; Ireneo, Severo and Rolando Lachica of the Philippines, one sister, Estrella Valdez of Los Angeles, California as well as numerous other relatives in Red Deer. Rudy was predeceased by his parents, one brother and one sister. Those wishing to pay their respects to Mr. Rudy Lachica can do so during a time of visitation at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150-67 Street) on Saturday, January 6, 2007 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church (6 McMillan Ave) on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Gary Lee Celebrant.
