February 15, 1960 - November 15, 2020
Ronald Phillip Ragnar Mannerfeldt lived his life fully from his birth in Eckville to his passing on the family farm southwest of Sylvan Lake where he spent his childhood and teenage years.
He attended High School at both Cody High School in Sylvan Lake and Lindsay Thurber High School in Red Deer. It was during a High School work term that he was introduced to the vocation of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and this became his life work. He spent years travelling around the globe maintaining aircraft and keeping the crew safe for their flights.
He loved the outdoors and spent Alberta falls hunting wildlife and mostly enjoyed being in nature learning from the animals. He loved fishing in his fishpond and had created a refuge for relaxation as well as the center for entertaining his extended family and friends. He had honed his skills of inclusion and hospitality under the guidance of his mother.
He celebrated the achievements of his children Jessie and Tara Dolphin, Serena and Ericka Mannerfeldt and Juan David Mosquero. He was also a loving grandfather to Seth, Chase, Reno, Skye, Lochlin, Roseline and Juan Daniel.
He enjoyed family times on the farm with his siblings, Jaelene (Jim), Karen (Rob) and Jamie (Gaylene) and his nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his mother Edna in 2016 and his father, Ragnar, just 6 weeks ago.
His memories remain in the safe-keeping of his wife, Rosa Mannerfeldt, who showed him how to love deeply, support dreams and see joy in the simple things of life. Her encouragement and care were a gift.
Ron lived his life with a warm smile, kind heart and a big hug. His memories remain in our hearts forever.
A private graveside was held at the Burnt Lake Cemetery.
