1945-2021 ~ Ron passed away peacefully at home, in Red Deer, Alberta, on the morning of Friday, June 18, 2021 at the age of 75 years.
He was deeply loved by Marion, his wife of almost fifty-four years, his son, Kurtis (Susan), his daughter, Christi (Dave) and his grandchildren, James, Lauren, Samuel, Alex and Riley.
Besides his successful careers in oil & gas and insurance, he was an excellent golfer and voracious reader. He was a passionate fan of his beloved Oilers and Roughriders. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. We will miss you.
Ron was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Marion Olney, his little brother, Edwin, his in-laws, James and Margaret Thomas, and his brother-in-law, Donald Thomas.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Central Alberta Cancer Centre and all of Alberta Health Services for the care and compassion he was provided with.
