1961-2021 ~ It is with great sadness that we share that Mrs. Rose Marie McQuarrie (nee Haycock), beloved wife of Jim McQuarrie, passed away in the arms of her loving and devoted husband, and surrounded by her daughters, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 59 years.
Rose will be remembered for her generous heart and love for her family. Rose's home was filled with music, laughter, dancing, baking, holiday dinners, jokes and so much love.
During the summer months, Rose's garden was overflowing with beautiful flowers, fruit bushes and gigantic tomato plants. One of Rose's other passions was golf, and her favourite golfing buddy was Jim.
They loved travelling to find new golf courses but also enjoyed many rounds on their favourite home courses, the Corte Bella Golf Club, and the Innisfail Golf Club. Rose was quick to post her winning score cards against Jim, and was never without a bottle of birdie juice.
What we will miss most about her is her infectious laughter, and smile, when she was playing with her grandchildren. These are moments with their gramma that they will cherish forever.
Rose will be forever remembered by her loving husband, Jim, her daughters, Crystal, Amanda and Brandy (Corey), and her grandchildren, Izzy, Samantha, Raelee, Aliah, Kaden and her mother-in-law, Ramona Gallant (Jim H., deceased).
Rose will also be sadly missed by her loving dad, Bud Haycock (Claire, deceased), her sisters, Cathy, Donna (Thomas), Darlene, and her brother, George (Lisa) and their children; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family.
Rose was predeceased by her sister, Denise Haycock.
We would like to thank the Nursing Staff on Unit 32 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre for the wonderful care and compassion they showed Rose, and our family, during her final days. Our family looks forward to meeting with friends and loved ones in the future, to celebrate Rose's life.
