ROSENTRETER 1913- 2008 Rhoda Evelyn Rosentreter, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the Valley Park Manor Nursing Home, on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the age of 95 years. Rhoda was born on January 2, 1913 in Red Deer, the only child of John and Eva Reid. In 1932 she married Dan and together they raised five children. Dan and Rhoda farmed in the Leslieville and Innisfail areas. In 1979 they retired and moved to Red Deer. Rhoda will be remembered for her love of life, her wonderful sense of humor, her positive attitude and the stories that she was always willing to listen to and share. She was a hard worker and never hesitated to lend a hand to those in need. She will be missed by all that knew her. Rhoda is survived by her three sons, Ed (Hazel), Dave (Sandra) both of Red Deer, Don (Bette) of Vancouver, Washington, a daughter, Alice (Jim) of Washougal, Washington, a special daughter-in-law, Bernice Leavitt of Innisfail, eighteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Dan and a son, Neil. A Funeral Service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Rhoda's honour may be made directly to the David Thompson Health Region Foundation, PO Bag 5030, Red Deer, AB., T4N 6R2.
