ROGERS Roy Mackenzie Rogers born October 11, 1962 in Bonivista, Newfoundland lost his battle with cancer on April 15, 2009 at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, Alberta. Roy, a beloved and cherished husband, father, son, brother and friend, is survived by wife Joan, sons Jacque (Christa), Mackenzie, and daughter Melina (Quinton), mother Mary, sisters Nita (Richard), Susanna (Chris), Elizabeth (Doug), Evelyn (Reginald), Lori (Lorne), brothers Edward (Joyce), Cyril (Leona) and a numerous extended family and friends in both Alberta and Newfoundland. A celebration of his life will be held at the Royal Canadian Ledgion in Sylvan Lake, Alberta on Wednesday April 22, 2009 at 2:00pm. Some time in May 2009 a funeral service will be held in Eliston, Newfoundland.
