PAUL Ruby Ellen Paul of Red Deer passed away at the Valley Park Manor on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at the age of 91 years. Ellen was born on a farm near Pangman, Saskatchewan on January 29, 1914, to John and Mary Ellen Paul. At the age of 20, Ellen graduated from Normal School. She taught school for 45 years bringing her considerable skills to children of all ages and abilities, working in regular classrooms, as an early education reading specialist, a “Home Ec” teacher, and as a consultant. Ellen will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of her daughter, Gwen Ewan of Victoria, B.C., her daughter-in-law, Marie Ewan of Grand Prairie, Ellen’s grandchildren Sharlene, Patrick and John Ewan, all of Grand Prairie, three great-grandchildren, one brother, Clifford Paul of Camrose, and two sisters; Ferne Schmidt of Nipawin, Saskatchewan and Jean Fawcett of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her husbands, Bill Ewan, Doug Stevenson and Ed Phillips, two sisters, four brothers, and one son, William Wayne John Ewan in 1994.
