RUNGE 1934 - 2009 Mr. Charlie Runge of Rimbey went home with our Heavenly Father after a courageous battle with cancer on May 5, 2009 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Charlie survived by his step-children, Louise (Jim) Donaldson of Rimbey, Bill (Caiyun Lin) Shaw of Penhold, Wayne Lee of Olds and David Lester of Rocky Mountain House. His grandchildren, Jim (Lori) Donaldson, their children Steven and Chelsy of Rimbey, Terry (Jackie) Donaldson, their children, Tamara, Shaynne, Jacquson and Thomas of Red Deer, Joe (Donna) Donaldson, their children Scott and Diana of Red Deer, Bob (Courtney) Donaldson, their children Nelson, Kathleen and Isabella of Medicine Hat, David Lester Jr, and his child, David of Innisfail, Tyler Lester of Sylvan Lake, Michelle Shaw of Paris, Ontario, and Dawn (Mark) Ward and their son Jack of Paris, Ontario. He also survived by his siblings, Helen Little of Calgary, Pearl Runge of Vegreville, Ernie (Alma) Runge of Vernon, BC, John Runge of Red Deer, Victor (Caroline) Runge of Innisfail, Donald (Lynne) Runge of Forestburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Greta Mae Runge on July 28, 1985, his parents, John and Annie Runge, older brothers George Runge and Bill Runge and one sister, Mary Geddes and his great-granddaughter Kayla Donaldson. Charlie enjoyed the fellowship of his brothers and sisters in the New Apostolic Church in Rimbey, enjoyed playing the guitar, spending his time at Gleniffer Lake and taking trips to visit with his family, which he did up until the time of his illness. He will be greatly missed. A celebration of Charlie's life will be on Saturday May 23, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Rimbey Community Centre with Reverend Bob Donaldson officiating. Private Internment will follow at a later date. If friends so desire, a memorial contribution may be made to the local Canadian Cancer Society.
