It is with great sadness that the family of Russell Maduke announce his passing on September 24, 2014 at the age of 78 years. Russ was born on June 12, 1936 in Rossburn, Manitoba. He will be remembered by his wife Vicky of 54 years and his four children Shelly Bauer of Kelowna B.C., Cyndi (Rick) Mikitka of Airdrie, AB, Candace (Al) Grohmann of Cloverdale, B.C., Corey (Lezlie) Maduke of Warman, Sask, and nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Russ is predeceased by his parents Mary and Joseph and his sister Patricia and brother Ted. Russ started his work life with CN Rail which led to his 50 year career in the oil and gas industry. His career took him across Canada to his final posting in Innisfail. Russ had many outside interests which included the Knights of Columbus, the Elks, the Royal Canadian Legion, and the Innisfail Curling Club. Russ was an active member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church where he served the Lord with love and faithful obedience. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Our Lady Of Peace Catholic Church in Innisfail followed by a Celebration of Russ's life in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes can be made at the church for a picture of St. Joseph in remembrance of Russ.
