CAMERON Ruth Elizabeth (Dittrick) Feb. 1, 1931 - Jan. 27, 2008 Ruth passed away peacefully with family at her side, on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the age of 76 years. Ruth was born February 1st, 1931 to Elizabeth and Wilbert Fowler at Alsask, SK, the youngest of seven children. The family moved to The Peace River Country in Northern Alberta when she was six months old. Ruth spent most of her years in the Deadwood area, where she met and married her husband of forty-five years, Joseph Dittrick, and they raised their four children, Murray, Louise, Donna, and Audrey. In 1985 they retired from farming and operating the local post office and moved to Bentley, AB. Joseph passed away in 1995, and Ruth later met and married Ed Cameron. Ed passed away in 2003, and soon after, Ruth moved to Calgary. Wherever Ruth lived she was always active in her church and community, and gathered many friends. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, all of her siblings, her husband Joe, of forty-five years, her husband Ed of six years, and very sadly, by her son Murray in November, 2007. She is survived by and will be truly missed by her children and their spouses, Louise Benedict (Lorne), Donna Hrynyk (Randy) and Audrey Dittrick; daughter-in-law Charmaine Dittrick; grandchildren Cameron Benedict (Nicole), Ryan, Kenton, Derek, Jolene, Jenine Robinson (Keith), Danica, Sara, Erin Vandenberghe (Matt), Brayden and Lindsey and great grandchildren Macy and Jaxon. Ruth will also be missed by Ed's children, Eddie, Gordon, Gaya, and Heather, and their spouses and families. Ruth also leaves three brothers-in-law, Carl Kammer, Johnny Kammer, and Martin (Irene) Dittrick, many nieces and nephews, a very large extended family and a host of friends. Special Thank you to the wonderful caring staff at the Chinook Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held in celebration of Ruth's life at the Alliance Community Church, 4404, 47 Avenue, Sylvan Lake, AB on Saturday, February 2nd, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. Graveside service to follow at Bentley Cemetery.
