JACKSON, Sarah Doris
1922 - 2017
Doris Jackson passed away at the Innisfail Hospital on June 26, 2017 at the age of 95 years. Doris was born to Jenny and Vinning Smith of the Valley Center area. She attended school there and later married Wilferd Jackson of the Hillsdown District where they lived and raised seven children. In later years, they moved to Red Deer. After Wilferd's passing, Doris spent the rest of her years in Red Deer and then in 2016, she moved to Sunset Manor in Innisfail. As a farm wife, Doris worked hard with the household chores, helping on the farm and raising seven children. Doris is survived by her children, Jim (Georgina), Rusty (Lorretta), Smokey (Sherry), Judy (Pat), Linda (John); sister Jean Benoit; daughters-in-law Sheila and Kathleen Jackson; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews and other family members. Doris was predeceased by her husband Wilferd; sons Danny and Terry; grandson Kyle Brewster and sisters Violet Hay and Dell Hewson. Doris will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all her family. A memorial tea to honor Doris's life will be held at the Valley Center Community Hall, Red Deer County on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m..
