SCHULZ Mrs. Karin Mary Schulz (nee Goodwin) of Red Deer, died peacefully following a brief illness, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the age 81 years. Karin was born on July 15, 1923 at Calgary, Alberta. She possessed a sense of humour, joy and faith that continued on throughout her illness. Karin was always grateful for her loving family and many cherished friends, including her Sorority Sisters. She shared her faith with many church families: The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Calgary, Gaetz Memorial United Church, Red Deer, United Church, Parksville, British Columbia and Knox Presbyterian Church, Red Deer. Karin will be sadly missed by her children, Lynn Gillespie (Bob Stoltz), Pamela (Murray) Layden, Michael Schulz (Corey Brown) and her grandchildren, Luke Gillespie, Hannah, Jacob and Quaid Layden and Sarah Schulz. Karin’s husband and best friend, Al Schulz, predeceased her in 1987. A Celebration of Karin’s Life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 4718 Ross Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, May 13, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Karin’s honour may be made directly to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, 220, 2323 – 32nd Avenue NE, Calgary, Alberta, T2E 6Z3.
