We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Sharon. She passed away peacefully on November 20th.
She is predeceased by her loving mother and father, Robert McMurray and Lillian McMurray nee Stroklund. Also predeceased by her sisters Louella Schultz, Peggy Laboucane, Alice Bieganek and by her brothers Hank, Jack, Jim, Roger, Robert (Shorty) and Gordon. Born in Stettler, Alberta,
Sharon is survived by sons Fort (Brigit), Dax (Catherine), grandson Aaron (Hope) and their four children along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will be remembered by countless friends she has met over the years. Sharon raised her family in Red Deer, Alberta. She will be missed as the smiling face at the weekly Red Deer Market and many other markets around Alberta. She was active in the community and enjoyed her time with her Whisker Rescue friends. Sharon had a love for all cats and was the friendly neighbourhood "crazy cat lady". She had a passion for music and a lovely singing voice, she was a poet, enjoyed quiet times with books, puzzles and her cats. She cherished her time with family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Eventide Funeral Home, 4820-45th Street, Red Deer Alberta on Thursday November 29th at 1:00PM followed by a reception.
