Sharon Schafer (Nee Cargill)
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Sharon Schafer nee Cargill.
Sharon passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday May 29, 2017.
Sharon leaves to morn her a loving daughter and caregiver Geraldine Dick, her grandchildren Brandon and Brittney (Mike), her sisters Norma Smith, Cheryl (John) Macdonald, Bonnie (Darcy) Mcwade, and a brother Bill (Patty) Cargill, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was predeceased by her father Norman Cargill and mother Beaulah Ruth, her sister Geraldine Cargill, nephew Branson McWade, and her beloved son David Schafer.
Sharon was born in Wainwright, AB in 1945. In 1964, she married Allen Schafer and raised their two children near Slave Lake, AB. Once the children were grown; Sharon's journey took her to Red Deer, Taber and then to her daughters home in Calgary.
Sharon was an ebullient woman who loved her garden and was happiest doting on her grandchildren and her furry companion Coco.
Sharon will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
