It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila Percival aged 98. Sheila was predeceased by her husband Tom, and her beloved daughter in-law Linda.
Shelia is survived by her five children John, Donald, Frank, Patricia, Terry, and spouses, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Sheila was born in Naauwpoort, South Africa, to parents Gwendoline and George Lemon in 1923. She was a WWII veteran serving in North Africa where she met and married her husband, Tom. As a war bride, Sheila moved to Canada, becoming a long-term member of the Poplar Ridge and Crossroads communities.
She loved her family, travelling, gardening, and hosting family gatherings at her adored cabin near Rocky Mountain House.
Sheila will be greatly missed by all.
The family would like to thank the Red Deer Emergency Department Nursing team and Dr. Stephen Swainson, who provided excellent medical and compassionate care to our mother.
There will be a private event celebrating her life.
