It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Irene Davidson on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Shirley was born on January 23, 1934 at Burnaby, British Columbia and moved out to Alberta to reside in the Lacombe Area on a farm during her middle school years. She married Bill in 1958 and lived the Haynes Area until the time of her passing. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her joy was her family life. Shirley had a long battle with Huntington's Disease. She was able to stay in her home during her illness with grateful thanks to her wonderful caregivers; Marissa, Shelima, Samia, Alice and Kristel. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Kinash and the Nurses and Staff at Lacombe Acute Care Centre for their compassion extended to the family during Shirley's last days while she was in Hospital. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-five years, Bill Davidson and her children; Darrell (Karen) Davidson, Dave (Ann) Davidson and Marlene (Terry) Capton and her grandchildren; Cory Staples, Jamie Staples, Kimberley Davidson, Brenden Davidson, Kaden Davidson, Brooklynn Capton, Brittney Capton and Luke Capton.
