SHORROCK Mr. Arthur Clifton Shorrock passed away on the family farm on July 3, 2007 at the age of 76 years. Cliff was born at Gilby, Alberta on May 16, 1931 with midwife Ellen Dyrland attending. He received his schooling at Medicine Valley and Andrews School and began farming with his brother Alan at the age of 15. Cliff was a keen observer of nature and loved early mornings and the outdoors. He had a quick wit and a fun sense of humour, always choosing to look on the bright side. He loved cats and dessert and at a younger age enjoyed sculpting and playing the piano. Above all, Cliff was a skilled cattleman who kept meticulous records. Cliff was predeceased by his parents Norah Porter (Shorrock) and James William Shorrock as well as sister Edna Carroll of Gilby and half sister Alice Coppithorne of Maine. Cliff will be lovingly remembered by his brother Alan Shorrock of Gilby, 5 nieces, 9 great nieces and nephews and 2 half nephews in the U.S. Cliff will also be missed by his friends, neighbors and extended family. Funeral services will be held at the Leedale Hall on Monday, July 9th, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Leanne V. Hall officiating. Interment will follow at the Bradshaw Cemetery.
