SICKINGER 1928-2007 Liesel Sickinger passed away peacefully at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton on Thursday, December 20, 2007, at the age of 79 years. She was born on August 5, 1928 in Germany. Liesel and her husband immigrated to Canada in 1962, residing in Red Deer. She loved dogs and spending time outside gardening. Liesel was very patient, which allowed her to spend many hours doing petti point. She is survived by a daughter, Veronika (Rolf) Holzapfel of Germany, a son, Horst (Gloria) Sickinger, two grandchildren, Dan (Anna) Holzapfel, Sonya (Adam) Sickinger and a great grandchild, Hailey Sickinger all of Red Deer and her two special dogs, Pippi and Blitz. Liesel was predeceased by her husband, Horst Sickinger and a son, Harold. Memorial donations in Liesel’s honour may be made directly to the charity of one’s choice.
