Sid Russell Turner was born on February 13, 1913 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta and passed away on October 29, 2009 at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Center at the age of 96 years. He is lovingly survived by his sister Jean Nichols of Camrose as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Sid was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home, 5115 50th Avenue, with Reverend David Schumacher presiding. Donations in Sid’s memory are gratefully accepted to Camp Health, Hope, Happiness (He Ho Ha), Box 182, Seba Beach, Alberta T0E 2B0.
