SONNLEITNER, 1953 - 2006 Mr. Gunther Gerhart Sonnleitner of Sylvan Lake, passed away peacefully after a determined struggle with A.L.S., at Harmony Care Centre, Red Deer, on Sunday, August 13, 2006 at the age of 53 years. Gunther was born on May 27, 1953 at Graz, Austria. He received his Petroleum Engineering Degree in Butte, Montana and enjoyed his career in his chosen field. He was an avid water skier and also enjoyed playing crib. Gunther will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of his family and dear friends. Gunther leaves to mourn his loss, Tony (Cynthia) Sonnleitner of Penhold, Willy (Laura) Sonnleitner of Sunbreaker Cove, Linda Kohorst of Red Deer, Otto (Monya) Sonnleitner of Edmonton, and Martha Hergert of Calgary, as well as, Zach, Mark, Scott, Frank, Ethan, Kevin, Aaron, Sherri, Laryssa, Brayden, Sebastian, Logan, Kelsey, and Kyle. Gunther was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Pelagia, a nephew, Isaac and Uncle Ed. All are welcome to come and pay their respects to the family one hour prior to the Memorial Service. A Public Memorial Service will be held at the CrossRoads Church, 32nd Street and Queen Elizabeth II Highway, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. Cremation will follow at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
