SPARKS March 28, 1940 – October 28, 2005. Alice Arlene Sparks passed away quietly and peacefully at the Red Deer Nursing Home after many years of pain and suffering with M.S. She leaves to mourn, her daughter, Bonnie (David), two grandchildren; Jeff and Amanda of Swan Hills, Manitoba, her son, Tim and grandchildren; William and Myrissa of Calgary, her mother, Grace MacDonald of Red Deer, her brother, Arnold “Sam” (Jean) and their family; Joanne, Roxanne and Kevin and families, two aunts; Flora Carter and May Auvigne of Delburne, one uncle, George (Helen) MacGregor of Ontario as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Arlene was predeceased by her father, David in 1983 and a nephew, Murray in 1997. She spent four and a half years at the Red Deer Nursing Home after moving here from Calgary. She received excellent and loving care and leaves to mourn the many friends she made there and the very helpful and loving staff. Also a dear friend Don who visited her frequently and brought flowers from his garden and a life long friend, Larry Nies of Sylvan Lake. She enjoyed life and always told stories to keep the girls laughing at the Red Deer Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Red Deer Nursing Home (4336 – 30 Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 5H8) or to the charity of your choice.
