SPEER Mr. Werner Speer beloved husband of Ursula Speer of Red Deer passed away at the Bethany Sylvan Lake on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the age of 77 years. Werner and Ursula immigrated to Canada in 1954 from Germany. Passing through Red Deer on their way to settle in Vancouver the young couple met many wonderful people and made many close friends. They never left, Red Deer became home. Werner will be lovingly remembered by Ursula, his beloved wife of 52 years. His memory will be further cherished by his children: Frank (Monica) of Vancouver, BC, Ellen (Rod) of Calgary and Wendy (Jason) of Red Deer. Werner will also be dearly missed by his grandchildren and many dear friends. A private funeral service for family members will be held at a later date. Werner's family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Mah and all the staff at Bethany Sylvan Lake for their compassionate care.
