SPILLER 1959 - 2009 James (Jim) A. Spiller, son of Ethel and the late Bill Spiller, passed away April 20, 2009 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre following a brief illness. Jim was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on March 2, 1959. At the tender age of six weeks he moved with his family to Red Deer. He spent his entire life in Red Deer where he attended Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School and Red Deer College. As a young man Jim loved to participate in various sports. He developed a love and caring for nature which eventually he was often able to incorporate into his work life. He loved to work in his yards. Throughout his life he exhibited a great deal of dedication to his work. Jim is survived by his mother Ethel Spiller of Red Deer, Jim's brother and his wife, Bill and Deb Spiller of Bashaw, his sister and her husband, Nancy and Jim Corrigan of Edmonton, and brother Ben Spiller and his wife Jo-Ann Tisserand of Castlegar, B.C., nieces and nephews include Scott, Kari, Kayl and Ryder Spiller of Blackfalds, Russell, Kirsten, Logan and Emmy Nugent of Bashaw, Chris Corrigan of Vancouver British Columbia. Jeremy Corrigan of Edmonton and Bryn and Sian Spiller-Tisserand of Castlegar British Columbia. Jim was predeceased by his father, Bill Spiller in December of 1973. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Leonard's-On-The Hill Anglican Church, 4241-44 Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon will be held in the church hall following the service. Interment will then follow at the Red Deer Cemetery. Donation's in Jim's honour may be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 Arnot Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta T4R 3S6.
