Stanley Ralph Wulff passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 14th, 2025 at the age of 93 years. He was predeceased on October 21st, 2022 by Betty Wulff, his best friend and wife of 67 years. Stan was born in Calgary on December 1st, 1931 to Violet and Johnny Wulff. He was the oldest of six siblings and spent his early childhood on a farm south of Three Hills, Alberta. At fifteen his family moved west of Sylvan Lake to Alhambra, Alberta where they ran a busy gas station and grocery store. In his early twenties Stan moved to Red Deer and worked as a laborer in a lumber yard and hardware store. Honest and hard working, he was soon promoted to general manager. He sold paint, floor coverings and draperies for nearly fifteen years. He also built custom residential kitchens and completed roofing, painting and flooring jobs in schools and commercial buildings around Red Deer. In the late 1960s Stan sold his home improvement business and purchased a retail fabric store located across the street from Eaton's. He continued to sell custom draperies and run the fabric store with Betty until the early 1980s when he began selling farms and ranches around Central Alberta. Stan loved people and working on big projects. He was an enthusiastic community volunteer, fundraiser and city builder. Along with Betty, he was one of the original founders of the Red Deer International Folk Festival. He helped organize the relocation of the Cronquist House from West Park to it's current location by Bower Ponds. A proud German/ N o r w e g i a n - Canadian, Stan was President of the Red Deer Norwegian Club and the Norwegian Laft Hus Society for many years. He spent countless hours planning and constructing the log building that houses the Norwegian Laft Hus Museum located in Heritage Square east of the Red Deer Recreation Center. Stan was also a very skilled carpenter and loved to fish and hunt, play cards and crack jokes. He was a member in good standing of the Back Alley Boys, with his big garage being the local coffee shop for his neighborhood buddies. Stan is survived by his four children: Vivien (Wayne Kauffman), Rod (Ellen), Gina(Joe Rafa) and Barry.
