November 1, 1927 – January 25, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Stan Tetley announce his passing on January 25th 2019, at the Edson Extended Health Care Centre.
Stan was surrounded by love when he passed at the age of 91 years. Stan was born November 1st 1927 in Innisfail Alberta.
He was born the third child of Rex and Dorothy Tetley. He enlisted in RCASC in November of 1944. After moving to Red Deer Stan worked at Macdonald’s Consolidated Wholesale Grocers before moving to Canada Safeway.
In the early 80’s, he joined Neon Products until his retirement. Stan married his high school sweetheart Gwen Scragg in Red Deer. The couple, together with their children, loved the outdoors and had many adventurers in the Rocky Mountains.
Stan was predeceased by his wife in 2009. He leaves to mourn his children and their families, as well as his two younger sisters, Fern Solty and Moira Jackson.
At Stan’s request there will be no funeral. There will be a private gathering for internment in Red Deer at a later date.
