STARR 1961-2009 Mrs. Marina Lynne Starr, beloved wife of Mr. Barry Lawrence of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with cancer at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at the age of 47 years. Marina was born on March 4, 1961 at Quesnel, British Columbia. She loved the outdoors, archery, golf, curling, camping and traveling. Marina loved spending time with the family, crocheting and sitting around the fire with good friends. She was a very hard working business woman/ cattleman. She is survived by her loving husband, Barry Lawrence, her daughter, Nicole Starr (Steven) of Red Deer, Alberta and a son Derek Starr of Red Deer, Alberta, her mother, Lillian Styan of Quesnel, B.C., two sisters, Sharon (Brad) Powell of Quesnel, B.C. and Pam (Mac) Cattell of Wolverhampton, England, two brothers, Denis (Linda) Ford of Prince George, B.C., Ron (Julie) Styan of Quesnel, B.C., a granddaughter, Brooke McFadden (Nicole and Steven) and numerous nieces and nephews and also a large extended family. Marina was predeceased by her father, Denis Styan. A memorial service in Marina's honour will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45 Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer.
