STEFURA, Mrs. Sophie Stefura, beloved wife of Mr. Bob Geelen of Eckville, Alberta, passed away surrounded by her family at the Foothills Provincial General Hospital, Calgary, Alberta on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at the age of 80 years. Sophie was born on June 8, 1924 at Delph, Alberta. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a trusted friend. Her greatest pleasures came from gardening, beautiful flowers and butterflies. Sophie leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Bob Geelen of Eckville, Alberta, her children, Gerald (Connie) Stefura, Darlene (Eugene) Andres, Sandra Mackie and Grant (Denise) Stefura, all of Red Deer, Audrey (Freddie) Fryer of British Columbia, her ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Sophie was predeceased by her first husband Mike Stefura. A Private Family Service in Sophie’s honour was held.
