July 20, 1935 - June 23, 2018
On June 23, 2018 Steve Premak said goodbye to this world in the way he lived his whole life - quietly, unassumingly with complete dignity and on his own terms. Born July 20, 1935 in Ituna, SK he was the twelfth child in a family of sixteen. He will be remembered by Joanne, his spouse and partner for 52 years. Also remembered by son Garth, daughter-in-law Penny, grandsons Josh and Zach, step grandsons Hunter, Griffin and Cole of Charleston, South Carolina. Survived by brother Ted Premak of Yorkton, SK, sisters Sophie Spilchuk of Ituna, SK, Kathy (Bob) Glassford of Oshawa, ON and Pauline (Ken) Brozer of Red Deer, AB, sisters-in-law Donna Wilson of Duncan, BC and Gail (Barry) Johnson of Regina, SK. Also numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Willie and Deanna Derkach. His legacy will be his great tomato plants, the best barbecued steaks, and his cabbage rolls. His wood-working skills are evident in many buildings throughout Central Alberta as well as his hobby creations. A celebration of Steve's life will be held on Saturday, August 25th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Golden Circle 4620 - 47A Ave. Red Deer.
