Stewart MORRIS

MORRIS Stewart Douglas Stewart Douglas Morris, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Victoria and Red Deer, passed away at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, on November 30, 2008 at the age of 78 years. He was born in Montreal, Quebec, and raised and edu- cated there. He joined the air force and became a flying officer in the RCAF from 1950-1958. He sold cars for Chrysler Canada at various dealerships from 1960-1976. He was a member of the Commissionaires of Canada in Victoria from 1980 until his retirement in 1996. He was very sports minded, an avid golfer, and enjoyed snooker, badminton, and bowling. He will be sadly missed by his children: Doug (Laurie) Morris and grandchildren, Douglas and Jaimee of Grande Prairie; Tom Morris of Kelowna and fiancée Laura White, and granddaughter, Kora-Lee Morris of Grande Prairie; Vince (Sherry) Morris of Saskatoon and grandson, Bradly Marcoux of Grande Prairie; Terry Morris of Grande Prairie. Stewart also has one sister, Marilyn (Reg) Garnett of Comox, B.C. He was predeceased by his parents, John D. Morris and Mildred Morris, and his wife, Lena Morris. Memorial service will be held at Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Morris Family Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Grande Prairie, or a charity of one's choice.
