STICKLAND 1917- 2007 Mr. Reginald "Reg" Stickland, beloved husband of Vivian Stickland of the Ridgewood District passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Rosefield Centre, Innisfail, Alberta on Saturday, May 19, 2007, at the age of 89 years. Reg was born on July 6, 1917 in Red Deer, Alberta. He was raised and went to school in the Ridgewood District, where he worked on the family farm until he met his bride to be Vivian McDuffee. They were married on June 17, 1942 and together they farmed in the Ridgewood District. Reg was and active member in the community, a valued friend and neighbor. He had a love for all sports, especially baseball, curling and hockey, his favorite team being the "Oilers". He will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor and his unique quirky little sayings. Reg is survived by his wife, Vivian, daughter, Barb Bodwell, son, Harvey, a sister Winnie (Raymond), a brother Gordon, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Jane Stickland, two sisters, Dorothy Lamar, Ethel Morrisroe, a brother, Eddie Stickland, two sisters-in-law, Blanche and Sylvia Stickland, three brother-in-laws, Jim Morrisroe, Harold Lamar, Jessie Raymond and a son-in-law, Jack Bodwell. There will be a private Interment on Monday, May 28, 2007; following the interment friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Monday, May 28, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the Ridgewood Community Hall.
