STONE, GraceMrs. Grace Stone passed away at the Red Deer Nursing Home on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at the age of 92 years. Her memory will be cherished by her two sons Paul (Marg) and Derald (Jeannie), three daughters Sharon, Darlene (Don) Marsh and Millie as well as by ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Her memory will be further cherished by her sisters-in-law Barb and Ruth, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Grace was born in Fountains Town, twenty-five miles east of Red Deer on August 12, 1911. She graduated from Olds Agricultural College in 1930 and in 1933 she was in the first class to graduate from the Ponoka Provincial Hospital as a psychiatric nurse. In 1939, she married Albert Larson Stone and six children were born of this union. She worked for fifteen years at Deerhome. Retiring in 1976 she filled her retirement with traveling, caring for and loving her family and friends. She was an active member of the Crossroads Church and has now joined her Maker in glory. At Grace's request, a graveside service will be held at the Bentley Cemetery on Wednesday, July 14th, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Cochrane officiating. A time of fellowship will follow. If friends so desire memorial donations in the name of Grace Stone may be sent to Crossroads Church, 38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer County, AB T2E 4X7.
