WILTON
Stuart Bowen Wilton passed away October 8, 2014 in the Olds Hospital at the age of 87 years. Stuart was born February 4, 1927 in Bentley. Stuart and Norah moved to Olds in 1955 when Stuart started teaching at Olds College. He spent most of his time as an instructor in the Animal Science department including several years as chair of the department. In his spare time he farmed a quarter section of land. Upon retirement, he enjoyed many years on the farm and then in their house in Olds. He rediscovered golf, curling and visiting with friends at auction sales and coffee time at Tim Hortons. Stuart is lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Norah; daughters Cathy Strand of Calgary; Lorie Payne of Calgary; Cheryl Bruce of Red Deer; sons Brian Wilton of Red Deer, David (Maxine) Wilton of Cochrane; eleven grandchildren Bryanna (Kory), Alex (Ryan), Mackenzie (Amy), Nicholas (Suzi), Cassidy (Brett), Jenna, Graham (Athena), Tyler, Quinn, Sierra, Garrett; two step-grandchildren Alex and Bekah. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday October 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Olds United Church with Reverend Tammy Allan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Parkinson's Society or the Alberta & BC Guide Dogs Service.
