Susan Helen Derbyshire (nee Mlynarski)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Susan Helen Derbyshire (nee Mlynarski) on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the age of 72 years. Mom was born in Rose Valley, Saskatchewan, to Leon and Helen Mlynarski. She was raised in the Kelvington, Saskatchewan Area; where she married and raised her own family. Susan and her family relocated to Red Deer, Alberta, where they lived for many years. Susan was a respected business woman, and owned many businesses through the years. She enjoyed volunteering for the Red Deer Optimists, and the Red Deer Singles Club, and was very devoted to her family. Susan will be lovingly remembered by her children, Barry (Teresa) Derbyshire, Donita Derbyshire, and Cory (Michelle) Derbyshire; her grandchildren, Joel (Sarah), Jamie (Maria), Cara, Randi, Donovan, and Logan and her great grandchildren Kinnin, Adelynne, and James. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Mary-Anne (Gus) Legace, and brothers, Jesse (Darlene Shuya) Mlynarski and Stanley (Ila) Mlynarski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Susan was predeceased by her mother, Helen Mlynarski; her sisters, Christina Kaye and Henrietta Phillips, and a son, Alfred.
A Memorial Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 - 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 2 pm.
