Sydney died peacefully at the Norwood Capital Care Center on December 8th, 2017 in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 93.
Sydney was ordained as a Presbyterian minister in Warrington England in 1952. As a minister of the United Church of Canada he faithfully served congregations in Tofield, Lethbridge, Edmonton and Red Deer.
He will be fondly remembered by his daughters Audrey (Keith) Buschgens and Linda (David) Roussel; his grandchildren Pamela Clark, Daniel Buschgens, Aimee Palmer, Adrienne Roussel; great grandchildren Abigail, Luke and Liam; niece Maureen Gilchrist; and his former wife Gwyneth Bell.
Sydney was predeceased by his brothers Norman and Gordon.
A celebration of his life will be held at Kirk United Church (13535 - 122 Ave., Edmonton) on December 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm. A private family cremation service has taken place.
