Tara Leah
Our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunty and friend, Tara Leah Carleton, age 37, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014 due to a motorcycle accident. Her love of life, infectious laughter, big heart and outdoor voice will live in our hearts forever. Tara was known for her loyalty to family and friends. When we needed her, Tara was always there. Tara leaves many people to remember her and to mourn her passing. Especially dear to her were her father, Tom Carleton; mother, Ann Handford; stepfather, Morley Handford; sister, Amanda Prefontaine; brother-in-law, Corey Prefontaine; brother, Adam Carleton; sister-in-law, Anna Lilley; grandparents: Bill and Doris Carleton, and Jessie Ross; her precious nieces: Bailey and Avery Prefontaine; step-sisters: Heather Allan (Mike) and Leah Odynski (Gerald); and stepbrother, Brad Handford (Serena); their children: Jakob and Matthew Allan, Gerrit and Haley Handford and Liam Odynski; uncles: Tom Ross (Sandra), Don Ross (Deanna), Ian Ross (Heather), Kirk Carleton (Bernice), and Chris Carleton (Penny); and her aunt, Penny Frazier (Tom); her cousins: Evan, Trisha, Clint, Emma, Riley, Coleman, Alexandra, David, Cody, Cole, Troy and Sean. Mourning Tara also, who had a special place in her heart, are former in-laws, Eugene and Sandy, Mike (Shannon and Olivia), Lisa Pistello; and her former husband Eugene Gizowski Jr. of Chicago, IL. Tara was predeceased by her grampy, David A. Ross. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Tara's name may be made to Edmonton Humane Society, 13620-163 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta T5V 0B2.
