1947 - 2014
Terry Feddersen of Eckville, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on Monday, June 16, 2014 at the age of 67 years. Terry was born in Brooks, Alberta on March 14, 1947 to Florence and Alvin Feddersen, the second son and older brother of Fern. Their family lived in Tilly and then moved to Midnapore and Calgary. They moved to the farm north west of Eckville in 1961.Terry farmed with his Dad running dairy cattle and grain farming for many years. He met his longtime sweetheart, Eileen and they married in June 1966. Six years later they were blessed with Beverly's arrival into their family and two years after that, Elle. In the mid 1970's Terry opened Feddersen's Auto Wrecking. Working on cars has always been Terry's love and in the late 1980's he started working on one of many Classic vehicles. His first complete restoration being his yellow 1956 Ford Victoria. He carried on with his hobbies and was well known for his passion of Fords, friends and a good glass of scotch. Terry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Eileen; two daughters, Beverly (Colin) Scholze of Red Deer and Elle (Jeff) Dell of Eckville and four grandchildren, Kassie and Kesler Scholze and Ashley and Baily Dell. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Fern (Larry) Hulgaard of Condor, Alberta. Terry was predeceased by his parents, Florence and Alvin and a brother, Tom. Relatives and friends are invited to come and pay their respects at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 - 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Eckville Community Centre, Eckville, Alberta on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with The Reverend Sandra Franklin-Law officiating. Interment will follow at the Gilby Cemetery, Gilby, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Terry's honor may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice at www.reddeerhospice.com.
