Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away at Ivy House on June 11, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Helmut; daughter, Marlies Booth (Lynn); sons, Michael and Andre Thiel; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Gisela came to Canada in 1954 and made her home in Red Deer, AB. until 1993 when she and Helmut retired to the Columbia Valley. They enjoyed many happy years with friends until ill health required a move to Columbia Garden Village. The family wishes to thank Doctors Maytham and Louw and the staff of Columbia Garden Village and Ivy House for their care and kindness. A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Red Deer Golf and Country Club. If desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association are appreciated.
