THOMAS MARSH

MARSH, THOMAS JOHN Thomas John Marsh of Elnora passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at the age of 90 years. Thomas was born in Bangor, Saskatchewan on June 11, 1914 to Charles and Ogwen Marsh. He was a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Thomas married the love of his life, Phyllis Holland, on April 12, 1939, and had enjoyed almost 66 years of marriage. Thomas drove Gravel Truck most of his life, in the road construction industry. He had a special love and gift for music. Thomas loved to entertain by singing, and by playing the banjo and violin. He played many years in a band with his brothers, and delighted and entertained those who listened at the many dances at which they performed. Thomas was a wonderful man who loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Phyllis Marsh, of Elnora, five children; Heather (Amos) Neufeld of Elnora, Judy (Bob) Weber of Carstairs, Bob (Carla) Marsh of Calgary, Penny (Mitch) Zazulak of Innisfail, and Bill (Judy) Marsh of Red Deer, eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers; Evertt (Gladys) Marsh of Sedgwick and Herbert Marsh of Calgary, two sisters; Jane Crowhurst of Calgary and Irene Jones of Sundre, one sister-in law, Sarah Marsh, of Fort McLeod, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Ogwen Marsh of Sundre, and one brother, Albert Marsh, of Fort McLeod. A memorial service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street) on Friday, January 21, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences can be emailed to condolences
