He was predeceased by his mother, Isabel; father, Thomas; sister, Marion Bradshaw; infant brother, Stanley; brother, Walter; nephew, Jim Bradshaw. He will be sadly missed by his family Joanne, Lon, Mitch and Kali Kasha of Cochrane, Alberta; nieces and nephews Barry, Brian, Barbara, Kevin, Kelly, Dan, Diane, and their families; sister-in-law, Norma Rimmer; brother-in-law, Joseph Bradshaw; and his special neighbors, Cody and Sabre. Jim was born January 1, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan. At the age of 18 months he moved with his family to Winnipeg, Manitoba where he finished grade school. The family then moved to Alberta, first to Peabrock and then to the Edmonton area. Jim joined the Coast Guard in his younger years and has since been a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Jim was a 4th Class Steam Engineer and worked many years, different jobs in the oil patch and for the City of Calgary. Jim lived in Calgary for many years, then Sylvan Lake and Red Deer for the last 17 years. He was a very private and proud gentleman whose wants and needs were very little. We knew him best for his generosity of time for his parents and sister. Jim's ashes will be laid to rest at the Eckville Cemetery with his sister Marion and nephew Jim Bradshaw. A family prayer will be held at graveside in the spring.
