THURBER - KARASHOWSKY Aug. 16, 1961 - Nov. 17, 2008 Rhonda (Roni) Lee Thurber-Karashowsky of Red Deer passed away at the Calgary Foothills on November 17, 2008 at the age of 47 years. Roni will be lovingly remembered by her life partner, Larry Karashowsky, her parents; Floyd and Irene Fidler, her in-laws; Eugene Karashowsky and Irene Lachance, one daughter, Mandy (Dustin) Edworthy, four grandchildren; Talon, Dove, Randie and Byron, one sister, Angela (James) Goreham, one niece, Alexandra, and many more family members and friends. Roni had a passion for crocheting and knitting, so much so that she opened her own yarn store. She enjoyed her time with her customers, friends and family, and could always make them laugh. For all who knew her smile, her generosity and strong will, she will be missed. She was our rock. A Memorial Service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 – 67 Street) on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (#101, 5208 53 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 5K2).
