TULP

TULP 1943 - 2009 Mr. Ray Tulp born April 3rd, 1943 left this earth to be with His Lord and Saviour on Saturday October 24th, 2009 at the age of 66 years, after a four month struggle with cancer. Ray leaves behind to mourn his loss his beloved wife, Dianne Tulp - Brooks, daughters, Natalie Brooks, Bianca Brooks (Ryan Bedford), Kristie Tulp (Keiver Wells), Alicia Tulp (Hugh McEwen), his grandchildren, Davin Tulp, Makayla and Logan McEwen all of Red Deer, Alberta, his mother, Helen Tulp of Calgary, Alberta, his brother, John (Nancy) Tulp of Chase, British Columbia, and his sisters, Lynda (Lou) Trommel of Surrey, British Columbia and Helen (Dale) Stoppler of Hope British Columbia, plus additional family members. Ray was predeceased by his father, Marinus Tulp, one brother, Fred Tulp and one sister, Georgina Tulp. Ray was a respected and much admired Science and Math instructor with the Red Deer Public School District and taught at Eastview, Glendale, and Hunting Hills schools. Motorcycles, photography, and music were his passion and he sang in various choirs in the area. In retirement, golf became his sport of choice. He spent the winter months on the golf courses in Arizona, and the remaining months working in the Home Depot paint department. A memorial service will be held for Ray on Thursday, October 29th, 2009 at the First Christian Reformed Church, 16 McVicar Street, Red Deer, Alberta at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Bomhof officiating. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Unit 32 Palliative Care of the Red Deer Regional Hospital and Dr. Jeff Mulder, and Dr. S.
