TURNEY, 1951- 2008 Sandra Jean "Sandy" Turney (nee Brown), wife of Mr. Bix Turney of Red Deer, passed away after a long fight with cancer at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the age of 56 years. Sandy was born on August 20, 1951 at Cold Lake, Alberta and was raised in the Riverhurst community of Cold Lake. She loved Disneyland and Disneyworld and enjoyed collecting Disney Souvenirs. Sandy's greatest love was her children and grandchildren, she cherished every moment that was spent with them. Sandy is survived by her husband, Bix Turney, a daughter, Tracy Turney both of Red Deer, a son, Fred (Shelly) Walker of High Prairie, Alberta, a step-daughter, Ann Mast of Red Deer, A step-son, Curtis Turney of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, her mother, Pauline Brown of Cold Lake, Alberta, five grandchildren, Cody (Jenn) Mast and Clayton Mast all of Red Deer, Jordan Turney of Millet, Kirstin and Kaylie Walker both of High Prairie and two sisters, Donna (Bob) Gagnon and Patsy (Oscar) Arfman both of Cold Lake. She was predeceased by her father, Ronald Brown in 1987. A Funeral Service will be held at Riverhurst Community Hall, Cold Lake, Alberta on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Lake View Cemetery, Cold Lake Alberta.
