Vera AEBIG

AEBIG Vera Evelyn Aebig (nee Brown), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away February 23, 2006 after a courageous battle at the Peter Lougheed Hospital. She is survived by, her loving husband of 48½ years, Glen; her son Barry, daughter Carla, son Greg and his wife Charlene; three grandchildren, Natasha and her husband Kevin, Leslie and Ashley. Vera is also survived by her sister Winifred Anderson (Del) of Chetwynd, B.C., sister Lois Forsberg (Don) of Brandon, MB and brother Kenneth (Olga) of Prince Albert, SK. Vera was predeceased by her parents, Clarke and Myrtle Brown, brothers, Howard Elliott, Grant Elliott, Alvin Brown, Langford Brown and sister Olive Huck. Vera was born in Forgan, SK on May 11, 1935. Glen and Vera were married on June 01, 1957 and shortly after moved to Calgary, AB where they raised their family. Twenty years ago, Glen and Vera made Sylvan Lake their home. While living in Sylvan Lake, Vera enjoyed golfing, walking, and playing cards, but above all, she enjoyed being with her family and her many friends. Vera was an amazing woman and she will be sadly missed by all. To honour Vera, a Memorial Service will be held at the Sylvan Lake Royal Canadian Legion, 4916-50th Avenue, Sylvan Lake, AB on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Vera Aebig may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada 6007 - 1A Street S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 0G5.
