MOGENSEN Vern Mogensen, formally of Red Deer, succumbed to injuries from a tragic accident on January 15, 2009. Born in Lendum, Denmark, Vern along with his parents and siblings immigrated to Canada in 1950. He enjoyed his career as a chemical engineer, working at Nova Chemicals for 19 years. Vern loved animals, golf, his motorcycles and most of all his family. He leaves to mourn his wife Teddy, two children Krista Jenkins (Craig) and Eric Mogensen and three granddaughters, Kennedy, Arianna and Catriona. A small service will be held in Kelowna, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in Vern's name.
